His 1999/2000 work ‘fail’ celebrated failed projects at a time when the new Tate gallery at Bankside was about to open and gargantuan spectacle seemed to characterise the most admired art in London. It was shown in an exhibition at Wayland house, itself a product of Post War idealism, and individual frames from the work were posted on public sites such as lampposts and walls in the vicinity of the Tate modern and other sites in London. Copies exist in the library of the Tate Gallery and at the Museum of the Book in Holland.
